An equestrian oasis in Florida’s horse country owned by a Grammy-winning musician is now up for sale

On the market for $3,485,000, the 26-acre estate in Ocala, FL, offers not only a house built for entertaining but also an equestrian setup designed to keep any horse lover happy.

“It has over 14,000 square feet under roof between the house, horse barn, a workshop garage, and a round riding arena,” says the listing agent, Carlos Tobon. “It’s a very beautiful place to relax and get away from your everyday things.”

Which is what sellers Olga Tañón and her husband, Billy Denizard, have been doing since they purchased the property in 2013.

Tañón is a Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning recording artist from Puerto Rico, known as the “Woman of Fire” or “Mujer de Fuego.”

Denizard is a television producer with a passion for all things equestrian. For years, the couple raised and sold horses, but Tobon says that time in their lives is over, and they’re ready to move on.

Gated and private, the house measures 4,852 square feet, with five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

The high-end kitchen is open and leads right into a great room designed for entertaining.

“It’s so tastefully done, with high-end finishes and appliances. It’s just very inviting,” Tobin says. “They love having company and enjoying family in the setup that they had.”

A spacious main bedroom is highlighted by two closets, plus a spa bathroom. A 560-square-foot glass room is attached to the bedroom and is designed for an owner to gaze upon the entire property.

“You can see all 26 acres from there,” Tobon explains.

It’s also equipped with one of the largest pool cages you’ll ever see, making it an ideal entertaining spot, no matter what the season.

“The more than 3,800 square feet of pool area is all laid out on brick pavers, on a concrete foundation,” Tobon says.

In addition to the pool and spa, there’s also an outdoor kitchen. The screened cage covers everything, so there’s no worry about pesky bugs.

“There’s night lighting inside the pool and the cage, so you can entertain 24 hours a day if you want it.”

As lovely as the home is, this property’s true highlight is the equestrian facilities.

“The equestrian setup is an 18-stall cinderblock barn of about 5,600 square feet,” Tobon explains.

A feed room and tack room are on one end of the barn next to the office, along with a two-bedroom apartment. One of the stalls can become a foaling stall, with removable walls.

“[The owners] used to breed and show horses there. At the end of the barn on a paved walking area is a covered, round pen that is 40 feet in diameter with a viewing area,” he says.

For the car lover, there is a 3,200-square-foot garage and utility building and RV and horse trailer hookups.

The entire estate is outfitted with cameras and multiple levels of security, creating a safe and private space.

And though the setting is peaceful and remote, it’s just a few minutes drive from Ocala, the Florida Horse Park, and the World Equestrian Center.

“The perfect buyer is anybody that enjoys the proximity to all the amenities in town, plus an equestrian lover who enjoys paradise and an oasis,” Tobon says. “You’ll have the best of both worlds. You’re out in the country, and you live on a farm, but you’re close to everything.”

Tañón, 54, a native of Puerto Rico, has released 14 studio albums and had a number of chart-topping singles on the Latin music charts. She won the Grammy Award for Best Merengue Album in both 2000 and 2001.
