100 Russians surrendered to a drone this winter – defense minister says

Ukrainian Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has published video footage showing Russian soldiers surrendering to Ukrainian drone operators, according to a post on his Facebook page.

Drone operators guided the soldiers to Ukrainian positions, Fedorov said.

“This winter, 100+ occupants laid down their arms thanks to the work of unmanned units,” Fedorov wrote.

Each captured soldier, the minister added, represents a potential exchange: “Every such prisoner is an opportunity to bring our defenders home.

On 14 February, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo showed a video of Russians surrendering and walking to Ukrainian positions accompanied by a drone.
