The Realme GT 8 Pro has been leaking a lot lately, and it should be unveiled in China alongside the GT 8 this month. The international launch, on the other hand, may have been moved because of OnePlus.
According to a new rumor, Realme was planning to hold the global launch event for the GT 8 Pro between November 18 and November 20. However, recent rumors claimed the OnePlus 15‘s global launch would take place on November 13. And so, it’s now alleged that Realme has moved its own launch event to between November 10 and November 12, most likely on November 11.
If this is true, then Realme clearly views the OnePlus 15 as the GT 8 Pro’s main competitor, which makes sense but it’s still interesting to see companies go to such lengths to one-up each other, even if just by a few short days.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, and apparently the company really, really wants it to be the first in India with Qualcomm’s newest flagship SoC. The phone has been rumored to sport up to 16GB of RAM, a 50 MP main camera using Sony’s Lytia LYT-700 1/1.5″ type sensor, a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera using Samsung’s 1/1.56″ type ISOCELL HP5 sensor, a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED screen with QHD+ resolution, and an 8,000 mAh battery.
