We have Xiaomi’s Pad 6S Pro 12.4 in for review today, and it comes with the works – the tablet, the Pro Touchpad Keyboard, the Pro Cover, and the Focus Pen.
The tablet itself ships with a USB cable and a 120W adapter. Xiaomi says just 10 minutes on the charger returns 45%, while 0% to 100% takes just 35 minutes.
The Focus Pen comes with a spare tip, attaches magnetically to the slate, and has three buttons on the bottom half – a SPotlight button that enables a Pointer, Highlighter, or Remote shutter, depending on the app, while the multifunctional buttons can open up apps with a long press, or snap screenshots.
The Focus Pen also has an impressive 8192 levels of pressure.
Unboxing the tablet and the Focus Pen
Moving on to the Touchpad Keyboard. It’s not the most imaginative name, but the hardware looks great. The cover portion of the accessory has a rubbery, grippy surface, while inside around the keyboard, it’s leather-like.
The keys have lovely travel and are wide enough for hours of comfortable typing. The touchpad itself is small but has a glass surface that’s lovely for finger tracking.
There’s a solid kickstand on the back that you can position whichever way you like, for the perfect support angle.
Finally, we have the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro Cover, with a unique folding design that you can “origami” into different functions. Having this design means you can make a kickstand to support the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 in both vertical and horizontal positions.
The 3:2 aspect 12.4-inch display is a perfect fit for laptop-styled use of the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4. The panel itself is high-res and refreshes at 144Hz, though it is an IPS LCD and not an AMOLED.
But the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 is suited for more than office work. The 6-speaker setup outputs tremendous sound.
We have some work to do with the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and once we are done we’ll report back!
