Since World War II, Puerto Ricans have been a part of the Bucks County community, according to Joel Berrocal, director of operations for the National Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce and one of the event’s organizers.

“Through the good, bad, and ugly, Puerto Ricans have fought in wars, held public office, built successful businesses, and so much more,” said Berrocal, who works in insurance in Bristol Borough. “We hope this discussion gives you just a small sample of the contributions Puerto Ricans have made to our community.”

Berrocal will be joined by four panelists:

  • Rafael Collazo, executive director of UnidosUS Action Fund, who will moderate the discussion
  • Amaris Hernández Padgett, National President, National Conference of Puerto Rican Women
  • Julia Rivera, Chief External Affairs Officer, Congresso de Latinos Unidos
  • Samuel Kanig, coordinator, community organizer, filmmaker and musician
