Puerto Rico Utility Gets Sept. 28 Court Hearing on Debt Talks

The judge overseeing the bankruptcy case for Puerto Rico’s power utility set its next court hearing for Sept. 28, a one-week postponement after Hurricane Fiona forced a delay of the proceedings.

Puerto Rico’s financial oversight board — which is managing the utility’s bankruptcy — an ad hoc group of bondholders and insurance companies will discuss during next week’s hearing the oversight panel’s request to litigate certain issues in the debt restructuring.
