Raging floodwaters swept away a bridge in Puerto Rico as torrential rains and gusts of wind triggered widespread damage after Hurricane Fiona made landfall in the US island territory on September 19, 2022. Around 196,000 people were facing water shortages, officials said, adding that it could take weeks to restore power supply to nearly three million people across the territory.
