The Journal of Medicine and Public Health (MSP) in conjunction with the Vaccination and Health Promotion Coalition (VOCES) will hold it this coming Friday, July 29 and Saturday, July 30. Expo Salud Event from Plazas Las AmericasWhere patients can benefit from sharing of preventive health information at the hands of leading experts.

With the aim of educating about the various chronic conditions that most commonly affect the Puerto Rican patient population, promoting prevention strategies, and connecting with a variety of experts, MSP and VOCES will bring together doctors from different fields, such as :

  • Dr. Leticia Hernandez, President of the Puerto Rican Society of Endocrinology and Diabetology (SPED).

  • Dr. Jose García Mateo, former President of the Puerto Rican Society of Endocrinology and Diabetology (SPED).

  • Dr. Damaris Torres, former President of the Dermatological Society of Puerto Rico.

  • Dr. Esther Torres, gastroenterologist and director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease-UPR.

  • Dr. Veronica Vestal Vargas, hematologist oncologist at the Comprehensive Cancer Center.

“We continue our work with communities in both prevention and education and outreach, whether it is screening tests, vaccination against viral diseases and this time to medical experts, who will provide valuable information so that patients can become more aware over time. But about the importance of seeing your doctor,” explained Lilium Rodriguez, executive director and founder of VOCES.

For his part, Pedro Lugo, vice president of Grupo Editorial Mundo, the parent company of MSP and its affiliated journals aimed at patients, said the event would begin at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
